Vitamins play a vital role in a person’s health journey. Getting all the nutrients is not possible from the food we eat so it becomes essential to take vitamins supplements after a certain age especially for women. Multivitamin supplements have become essential as they keep a person’s body healthy and fit as well.

Different vitamins have different benefits that can be acquired with the help of multivitamin supplements. The benefits of these different vitamins are as follows.

1. Vitamin D

Women start to lose bone density and mass in older age for which Vitamin D supplementation becomes essential as it helps in bone growth and also helps absorb calcium in the body. Lack of this vitamin could lead to the weakening of bones and might cause osteoporosis, which puts a risk of fractures. Apart from supplements, sunlight is also an excellent source of Vitamin D.

2. Vitamin B

This vitamin helps provide energy to the body and is most essential for women who are more engaged in day-to-day activities, household chores, or who tend to work out. Vitamin B is very essential for pregnant women as it helps, not only with providing required energy but also helps the development of the fetal brain. Vitamin B helps boost metabolism and keep the brain and the spinal cord healthy. Excess of Vitamin B is also bad for the body as it becomes toxic. 7. Vitamin E

Vitamin E helps keep cells healthy and slows down the signs of aging. Excess of vitamin E is also not recommended. Food rich in vitamin E are hazelnuts, peanut butter, corn oil, and sunflower seed.

Taking all the vitamins in form of food is also important but it is recommended that after a certain age, women should start taking supplements for better absorption of these in the body and also because food cannot provide all these necessary vitamins in the required amount that the body needs.
